Functional Health Doctors

  • Dr. Natalie Underberg, DC

    THE PCOS DOC

Between a diagnosis of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), chronic respiratory symptoms, and chronic fatigue for most of her life, Dr. Natalie is no stranger to health challenges. Throughout these trials, she sought treatment from dozens of doctors, who never seemed to give her concrete answers to what was really causing her to feel the terrible way she was. The frustrating feeling of not being heard by her doctors has led her to pursue a career in Functional Wellness and to truly listen to the concerns of her clients.

After struggling with weight gain, irregular periods, painful periods, and cystic acne, Dr. Natalie was diagnosed with PCOS in 2010. Since then she has made it her life mission to educate, empower, and advocate for women who also struggle with PCOS and the myriad of effects it can have on one’s life.

In addition to helping women with PCOS, Dr. Natalie also has special skills and interests in helping women overcome infertility and other hormone-related issues from a natural perspective. Through her own journey with Functional Wellness, Dr. Natalie has been able to manage her PCOS naturally, regulate her cycles, reverse cystic acne, and optimize her fertility. She now feels inspired to help other women do the same! Plus, with over 10 years of PCOS research under her belt, Dr. Natalie is an expert in her craft.

In addition to her doctorate degree, Dr. Natalie spent countless hours outside the classroom completing advanced Holistic Health training through the Institute of Functional Medicine and Apex Energetics, as well as advanced coursework in internal disorders through the American Board of Chiropractic Internists. Dr. Natalie has positioned herself at the forefront of the Holistic Health industry with the most advanced, evidence-based training available.

  • Morgan Prejean, PA

Morgan is a board-certified physician assistant (PA) from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Prior to PA school, she worked for 4 years as a nutritional counselor in a medical weight loss clinic. She always had a love for health and wellness, but during her early twenties, she began to develop symptoms such as constant fatigue, bloating, acne, hair loss, and weight gain. She went doctor to doctor in search of answers but instead was handed prescriptions that only seemed to make things worse. She was diagnosed with PCOS, hypothyroidism, IBS, and anxiety, in addition to various other conditions, but was sent on her way with no explanation of the cause or a definitive treatment plan. Frustrated by feeling disconnected from her body, she began to seek out the answers herself with countless hours of research, learning as much as she could about her body. She knew it was important to get to the root cause of the problem rather than just continuing to treat the symptoms. Through her research in holistic medicine, she ultimately sought out Dr. Natalie who has helped her discover the underlying cause of her symptoms and how to combat them. Morgan now works alongside Dr. Natalie and the entire PCOS Doc Team to develop comprehensive wellness plans to help others feel their best.
